Determining the first team to enter the final of the 2024/2025 European Cup C1

This morning (May 7), Inter Milan won a thrilling 4-3 victory over Barca in the second leg of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League semi-final, thereby winning 7-6 on aggregate to secure a ticket to the final. The match at Giuseppe Meazza was dramatic from start to finish, with an unbelievable score chase.


In the 22nd minute, Inter opened the scoring after a quick counter-attack, Dumfries assisted Lautaro Martinez to tap the ball into an empty net. In the 45th minute, after consulting VAR, the referee awarded Inter a penalty and Calhanoglu easily increased the score to 2-0. Barca rose strongly in the second half, and in just the first 10 minutes, they scored two goals in a row thanks to Eric Garcia (minute 54) and Dani Olmo (minute 60), leveling the score at 2-2.


After many missed opportunities, in the 88th minute, Raphinha put Barca up 3-2, raising the total score to 6-5. However, in the 3rd minute of injury time, Acerbi scored from Dumfries' cross, helping Inter equalize 3-3, bringing the match into extra time.


During extra time, Inter Milan continued to show their mettle. In the 99th minute, Marcus Thuram intelligently pressed and then passed the ball into the penalty area for Mehdi Taremi to assist Frattesi to score, raising the score to 4-3.


During the remaining time of the match, Barca tried to find an equalizer, but were continuously denied by goalkeeper Yann Sommer. In particular, 17-year-old player Lamine Yamal missed 3 extremely delicious opportunities in extra time. It can be said that goalkeeper Sommer deserved to be the hero with 7 excellent saves.


In the end, Inter Milan won 4-3 in the second leg, thereby surpassing Barca with a total score of 7-6 after two matches. The Italian team won the right to play in the final of the 2024/2025 European Cup C1.
