Real Betis vs Chelsea Prediction: Record for The Blues?

Football prediction Real Betis vs Chelsea: Waiting for The Blues to overcome difficulties

Chelsea have two goals to complete this May: finish in the Premier League top five and win the Europa Conference League. The Blues have already completed 50% of the job, with a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest helping them finish fourth in the English top flight this season, thereby returning to the Champions League. Playing in the European Cup next season is really important for Chelsea, not only for the financial situation but also for the ambition of the team.

Real Betis vs Chelsea Prediction: Record for The Blues?

Chelsea reached the final of the Europa Conference League this season.

Three days after their win over Nottingham Forest, Chelsea will travel to Poland to take on Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final, which will be played at the Tarczynski Arena. The Real Betis vs Chelsea prediction is slightly in favour of the Blues, and with their performance in the UEFA Cup this season, if Enzo Maresca's team win the title, it will be well deserved.

The English side won all four of their group games, then beat Copenhagen, Legia Warszawa and Djurgardens IF to reach the final. Having already won the Champions League, Europa League and European Super Cup, the Blues could become the first team to win all four UEFA club competitions.

This is also Chelsea's 13th European Cup final, having won eight of the previous 12. History is on the Blues' side, but Real Betis are not about to give up easily. The Spanish side are looking to bring home a first-ever European trophy.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini has led the team to defeat many difficult teams to reach the final, including two thrilling semi-final matches with Fiorentina, in which Betis only advanced after a goal in extra time. After winning the ticket to the final of the European Cup 3 this season, Betis did not win in the last 4 rounds of La Liga, which caused them to lose to Villarreal in the race for the Top 5, thereby getting a ticket to the Champions League next season. However, with the 6th position, Betis is sure to participate in the Europa League next season.

Real Betis vs Chelsea Europa Conference League 2024/25 final.

It has been almost 20 years since Betis and Chelsea last met in a cup tie - the Blues won 4-0 at home and lost 1-0 away in the 2005/06 Champions League group stage - and after working together at West Ham, Maresca is now looking to outdo his former boss Pellegrini.

Specifically, Enzo Maresca, the current Chelsea manager, was a student and assistant to Manuel Pellegrini in two important periods of his career. The first was at Malaga in the 2010/11 season, when Maresca was still a player and Pellegrini was the head coach of Malaga. The second period took place at West Ham in the 2017/18 season, when Maresca became an assistant to coach Pellegrini after hanging up his boots.

Under Pellegrini's guidance, Maresca has learned a lot. Pellegrini has a wealth of experience, he has also led big teams such as Real Madrid, Man City and Villarreal, he has taught Maresca valuable lessons about patience and strategic vision. Therefore, Maresca and Pellegrini will create an interesting confrontation between the former teacher and student, the match promises to be very balanced and attractive.

In terms of squad, Nicolas Jackson is suspended for the final rounds of the Premier League, but this player is eligible to play against Real Betis. Christopher Nkunku is not at his best, the possibility of playing is still uncertain. The Blues also have the services of Aaron Anselmino (hamstring), Wesley Fofana (hamstring), Omari Kellyman (hamstring) and Mykhaylo Mudryk (suspended). Filip Jorgensen, Malo Gusto, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Trevoh Chalobah are all eager to start in the final.
