Ronaldo's Saudi Pro League Golden Boot-winning goal:
Cristiano Ronaldo continued to prove his class at Al-Nassr when he scored in the match that closed the 2024/25 season, although his team lost 2-3 to Al-Fateh.
This goal helped the Portuguese star increase his total number of goals in the Saudi Pro League this season to 25. In all competitions, CR7 has scored a total of 35 goals. Last season (2023/24), he scored 35 goals in the national championship and also won the Golden Boot.

Ronaldo finished the season with two more goals than Ivan Toney, the England striker who had a remarkable debut season with Al-Ahli with 23. Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema contributed 21 goals for Al-Ittihad, who won the title this season, while Al-Shabab's Abderrazak Hamdallah also had the same number.
Despite continuing his impressive scoring form at Al-Nassr, Ronaldo’s future in the Middle East remains uncertain. After the season ended, he posted a cryptic message on social media: “This chapter is closed. The story? Still being written.”
The No. 7 superstar has said he wants to reach 1,000 career goals before considering retirement. He has been linked with a number of clubs that will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup taking place in the US this summer, but it is unlikely to be a long-term deal.
